Professional experience

Programmer Analyst Senior

Progressed from Programmer Analyst I to Programmer Analyst Senior. Now transitioning into AI Delivery Lead responsibilities focused on building and integrating enterprise AI applications.

  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and support ASP.NET MVC applications on .NET Framework, from business requirements and solution design through deployments and ongoing support.
  • Built ALLETE GPT with Node.js/Express, Entra ID sign-in, encrypted Cosmos DB storage, document retrieval through Azure Cognitive Search, and multiple AI-provider integrations. User adoption grew 147% in its first six months.
  • Replaced discontinued service-call software with TroubleTracker for Minnesota Power and Superior Water, Light & Power. Combined customer lookup, dispatch and field workflows, GPS locations, and hazard records using C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and SOAP integrations.
  • Built Call Vault, a searchable archive of 500,000+ recorded calls and emails. Parsed proprietary recording metadata and implemented media streaming with Windows impersonation to enforce existing file permissions.
  • Rebuilt two mobile applications, updated software versions, and resolved known vulnerabilities. Currently modernizing, documenting, deploying, and preparing additional legacy applications for transition.
  • Configured and deployed Azure-hosted applications, including App Service. Coordinated with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and networking teams on authentication, permissions, certificates, access restrictions, and firewall requirements.
  • Worked directly with business stakeholders on requirements, solution design, implementation, and user support. Helped other developers access development environments and understand existing applications and enterprise resources.
  • Used Azure DevOps/TFS with TFVC source control since approximately 2017 and contributed to the move toward GitHub Enterprise for newer development workflows.

Programmer/Analyst & Systems Administrator

  • Built student-risk analytics, a custom CRM, and a OneStop portal connecting Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registrar workflows.

Senior Web Builder & Consultant

  • Managed multi-million-dollar dealership relationships. Received the Product Services Department MVP award three times.

Selected engineering projects

BWCAcampsites

Independent web application

  • Designed, built, and shipped a map-based research and trip-planning application covering 2,039 Boundary Waters campsites. Combined reviews, accounts, and paid memberships with GPX export and offline access for use in the wilderness.

Between the Lines

Independent AI application | Microsoft 2026 Inside the Game hackathon prototype

  • Built and deployed a Next.js/TypeScript match companion on Azure App Service. Connected a Microsoft Foundry agent to read-only evidence tools and an MCP server, with answers linked to replayable events.
  • Implemented answer verification, match-time restrictions, spending reservations, request limits, and rule-based fallbacks. Used unit tests, browser checks, and live answer evaluations against synthetic events with fictional teams.
